During this coronavirus outbreak, home learning systems are implemented by several countries. One of them is in my country, Indonesia. All students are required to study at home during the co-19 pandemic period.
I will share some information about online and self-taught programming learning sites that you can apply when you are required to learn from home. In addition to staying protected from coronaviruses, learning online and implementing them can drive away your boredom.

What is an Online Course?
80% of leaders in academic institutions state that online courses are an essential component of their long-term strategy.
At present, there is a large selection of free and paid online courses for I.T. professionals who want to develop their programming potential.

There are many websites dedicated to online learning, plus more like Bootcamp coding. University education, which is usually completed in 4 years, is almost the same level as courses that can be completed in approximately 48 hours.
What distinguishes online and offline is if you get an education offline, you will get a graduation certificate and understand the theory of subjects better.
If you are interested in taking an online course, it is advisable to first check and look for information on whether the site you are following is well accredited and course available.
It is also recommended to see every review and rating available. For self-taught students who are always motivated to keep learning, these programming languages courses can be an excellent way to get the training they need when a coronavirus outbreak takes place.
What are the best IT courses?
Here is some Online I.T. Courses You Can Take
Udemy
Udemy is my first choice. At Udemy, anyone can become an instructor and make their own courses, so the quality of teaching varies.
We must check their reviews and ratings before subscribing and registering. Many instructors are offering free courses, some are paid.
Udemy often gives promos so that when the promo is in progress, we can buy up the courses we want.
One example of the type of free courses available on this site is “Business Development,” “Information Management Technology LITE,” which is offered by instructors who have a B.A.A. for Management Information Systems.
Coursera
Coursera offers online learning from 190+ colleges. Coursera has 2000+ customers from various large companies in the world.
Many of these Coursera classes are available for free, but some are also paid.
Coursera is one of Udemy’s biggest competitors.
EDX
EDX is similar to Coursera. E.D.X. Provides 2500+ courses from various companies and universities in the world such as M.I.T., Harvard, University of California Berkeley, Caltech, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Michigan.
Many E.D.X. Programs are distributed free of charge, but if you want to get a certificate for the participation you are taking, you can pay a small fee.
Codecademy
Codecademy is an online course company that provides services such as Coding Bootcamps. Codecademy is intended for those who want to learn programming languages in depth. The advantage of Codecademy is that it offers several free boot camps.
In recent years, some “coding boot camps” have grown promising to teach people to be developers faster than needed to get a traditional computer science degree.
Codecademy also has a useful “Estimates” feature, where this feature will estimate how long it will take to complete each course and master the required skills.
Microsoft Virtual Academy
My final choice is the Microsoft Virtual Academy. Microsoft Virtual Academy provides online courses and directly gets certification from Microsoft for students who are interested in a career in technology.
One of the advantages is that a certificate from Microsoft can be used to apply for a job.
